What is the Grant?

The West Midlands Social Enterprise Boost Fund (SEBFWestMids) in partnership with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) is pleased to launch the Social Enterprise Boost Fund – Grant Guidelines and Application Forms.

The West Midlands Social Enterprise Boost Fund will provide a range of grants and targeted business support to new and established social enterprises, assisting them in starting up, scaling up, and expanding their operations. This support will enable social enterprises to make a positive social and environmental impact while also contributing to the local economy.

Who Can Apply?

The Grant Funding is available to start-up social enterprises and individuals seeking to start-up a new social enterprise.

To be eligible:

You will need to be over the age of 18 and be based in the UK
Your social enterprise needs to be based in either Wolverhampton or Sandwell and/or conduct most of its activities in one or both areas
If you have been operating as a social enterprise for more than 12 months, you will need to be able to provide evidence of income and expenditure for the previous year

Applicants can submit multiple applications throughout the duration of the grant but in total can only apply for a maximum of £10,000.

What Happens After You Apply?

After you have submitted your application, the decision-making panel will be convened in Wolverhampton and Sandwell and will consist of impartial and experienced colleagues from a range of backgrounds to score your application.

If successful, you will be offered a grant agreement that you will need to agree to and sign to receive your grant.

If you are unsuccessful, you will be emailed as soon as possible, and written feedback will be provided.
