Access to Business (A2B) is a Charitable Company Limited by Guarantee, incorporated 2004 (Company Limited by Guarantee No.05084674), and registered as a Charity in 2004 (Registered Charity No.1138761). Access to Business charitable purpose, as stated in its Memorandum of Association, is for 'the relief of unemployment for the public benefit in such ways as may be thought fit including assistance to find employment'.
Our Mission is that all disadvantaged people to realise their full potential and to have an equal opportunity to compete in the workplace. Our Vision is to be an independent and authoritative advocate to support disadvantaged people in the Black Country towards training, employment, self-employment and enterprise with a specialism for support for disadvantaged people with health problems or disabilities.
A2B provides services supporting local people into employment and social enterprise. Access to Business also delivers services to local start-ups and SMEs to support them to develop and grow. Demand for our services has grown year on year and we now operate across the Black Country region, actively contributing to Wolverhampton Council and local enterprise partnership regeneration targets.
A2B is a UKOnline centre and we are currently delivering UKOnline specialist programmes providing intensive 1-2-1 support for disabled people including IT, Finance and informing on HMRC services.
The services are delivered by a team of experienced advisors. All of our advisors have relevant qualifications, such as IAG L3/L4 or SFEDI Accredited Business Advisors and all trainers hold recognised training qualifications.
In June 2017 Access to Business has been awarded ‘The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service’, the highest award given to volunteer groups across the UK, the equivalent of an MBE for volunteer groups.
Access to Business holds ISO 9001, MATRIX, Cyber Essentials and Disability Confident Leader quality frameworks’ accreditation working to continuously improve the services we offer.
Access to Business is the Wolverhampton based charity providing professional services supporting local people into employment and self-employment and also offering accredited and non-accredited training courses and office services for local businesses.
