Celebrating International Women’s Day 2019

Encouraging women to get into business, local Charity Access to Business is bringing International Women’s Day to Wolverhampton as part of the City of Wolverhampton’s activities in March which support local residents into work, improves their everyday living and support people to improve their health.

Marked for the first time in 1911, International Women’s Day is celebrated annually around the world to highlight women’s cultural, social, economic and political accomplishments. With each year having a theme 2019’s campaign is #BalanceforBetter; a call-to-action for driving gender balance across the world in areas such as wealth, media coverage and government.

This upcoming event perfect for any woman whether self-employed or looking to start-up or begin her progression in business. There’ll be light refreshments available and the opportunity to socialise with industry professionals as well as like-minded individuals. With specialist advisers available throughout the day, Access to Business is willing to support you every step of the way to achieve your vision.

Josie Kelly, Access to Business CEO said “Our Women into Business event is funded through our ERDF RAISE project to support Black Country residents to start or grow their business.  Our events are always very popular and we are seeing an increase in the numbers of women wanting to explore starting a business.  Some of our former Clients will be present on the day to share their experiences”.
