Access to Business was keen to organise an event for the Black Country Festival 27 April – 4th May and we have decided on a Business Ability event. The theme was to support companies who wished or already employ people with disabilities and anyone thinking of starting a business.
Our BBO projects focus on the most vulnerable citizens across the borough offering advice and guidance, information and practical solutions to develop ideas into a reality. The event enabled our clients to meet employers and the employers to understand the potential benefits disabled employees can bring to their companies.
The event was very positive and well attended by clients, business leaders and partners. The attendees were very complimentary on the quality of speakers and the accessibility of the venue. They liked “the people, layout, room size, refreshments and everything!” Clients commented that it was a real eye opener to listen of the barriers speakers experienced and how they managed to overcome them.
We received the feedback that the event was “absolutely fabulous with hugely inspiring speakers and great atmosphere”.
We are so proud of what we managed to achieve developing new ways of supporting our hard to reach clients bringing the communities together to promote social inclusion and inclusivity.
